Maine Coast and Acadia Adventure

Experience one of New England’s most beautiful coastal journeys, travelling from historic Massachusetts through New Hampshire and along the rugged shoreline of Maine.

Your adventure begins at Boston Logan International Airport, where you collect your rental car and make the short drive to Salem. Known for its maritime heritage and fascinating colonial history, Salem provides an atmospheric introduction to New England.

Continue north to Portsmouth, a characterful harbour city with historic streets, waterfront restaurants and beautifully preserved homes. From here, cross into Maine and follow the coast towards Portland, stopping in attractive seaside communities along the way.

Enjoy two nights in Portland, renowned for its working waterfront, lighthouses, independent shops and exceptional seafood. The journey then continues through Midcoast Maine to Camden, where wooded hills descend towards a picturesque harbour filled with sailing boats.

Your final two nights are spent in Bar Harbor, the gateway to Acadia National Park. Explore dramatic ocean scenery, forested mountains, peaceful lakes and the spectacular Park Loop Road before departing from Bangor.

Comfortable driving stages leave plenty of time for coastal walks, lobster lunches, lighthouse visits and spontaneous discoveries along the way.
